Style and Filming

As you may have seen from my previous videos and feedback, my style is relaxed and natural. I know how to film the most important day of your life in the most honest and natural way ensuring nothing important is missed. Your day is not a Hollywood blockbuster, it’s a real life event and as such your video should lend itself to that.

No gimmicks or cheesy special effects, your video will be a completely natural and honest account of your day providing you with a timeless memory of just how wonderful it was.

I won’t be right in your faces or nagging you for poses all day (that is usually the stills photographers job) The best wedding footage is always the natural action and I focus on this, I will however occasionally if you would like ask for a few shots or ask for something again to get a different angle or shot since I work alone.

I take great care to elegantly capture the important details of every wedding that helps to tell your unique story also. These may include close up details on wedding dresses, cufflinks, flowers, personal touches, wedding bands, church details, cake detail, wedding breakfast tables, food and drink etc.

Anywhere between 2-5 hours of footage is generally captured depending on the duration of your ceremony and speeches.

I used professional broadcast High Definition cameras and wireless and wired microphones to capture only the very best audio and video of your day. I come from a background working filming for broadcast TV and as such I only use the very best professional equipment which I’m always updating, unlike some amateur videographers they rely on cheap DSLRs and eBay microphones.

Editing

Once your day is over, your precious footage will be stored and backed up securely and professional edited into complete and natural film with some titles and some background music of your own choice where appropriate.

Your highlights video will be a short linear account of your day as it happened including a selection of the important parts of your day. This video will have generic background music for music rights reasons as this will be is shared online unless you specifically object in advance.

Your main video will be much longer and slower in pace and  include much more detail.

Your ceremony will be edited together using shots from 2/3 cameras, it will not be edited down or have parts cut out. The exception to this are any hymns, these will be reduced in duration to just a few verses.

Any speeches or other important events including your first dance will also be left as they happened and not cut short.

Any real life ambient audio will be left in and not drowned out by music if appropriate.

Music is generally used in montage sequences such as drinks receptions, venue shots photo shoots and evening celebrations where original audio is not significant.

Your video will be edited as quickly as possible sometimes within 4 weeks, however during busy periods this can be a little longer but you will be kept up to date throughout the editing process. Your video however will not be rushed at the expenses of the quality.

Once edited your DVD’s/USB will be either hand delivered (if local) or sent via tracked and insured courier to any UK address of your choice. Collection is also possible if you wish.

Your USB memory stick will include a High Definition master version of your film and any additional videos including your highlights video in MP4 format. You can then copy this onto other USB devices or computers to share with family and friends.

Once your date is confirmed as available, I will e-mail you a booking form, once this is completed and e-mailed back to me I will draw up a booking confirmation/invoice which will include details on how to pay your £200 deposit and unique payment reference. Once your deposit is all paid we are all confirmed and its another thing to tick off the list.

Payment can be paid via BACS/faster payments (bank transfer) or cheque.

The final balance will be due 14 days before your wedding day or earlier if you wish.
